    Areas of Defense

    Most criminal charges are under Iowa law, and go through the Iowa criminal process. You will face charges in an Iowa state court, and may face time in a state-run prison.

    Some charges, however, are under federal law. Federal charges will be heard in the federal court, likely the one in Des Moines.
